Why reservation on the basis of Religion?...

When we shall stop discrepancies and stop Indians - divided by religion?... Is the religion the criterion for identifying backwardness?.. Or is it merely a vote bank politics?...
First of all, I am not for reservation and at the same time not against uplifting the backward. Why I say this is because reservation will not actually help uplifting the backward class; but reservation will actually retard the development and competitive spirit. On the other hand, some will take undue advantage of it and actual welfare of the target community will only be enjoyed by the face of it & not in actuality.
Secondly, by identifying backwardness by religion itself is not called for. There are backward classes across religion. I would say Muslims as a community, they have very strong socio-economic set up compared to Hindus or other religion. As per their believe and practice; they educate, train and collaborate. Mostly they are skilled. Their believe makes them to be self sufficient. In this case, reservation will not help. Reservation in the name of them will be enjoyed by others who are smart politically.
Thirdly, why we should go for reservation? Instead, the government should set up skill enhancement centers near to their proximity and develop them. This will enhance their competitive spirit and move out and face the real competition.
Fourthly, reservation in the name of religion will divide Indians at large. Go to the remote places of Orissa, Bihar, Even Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Mijoram, Arunachal Pradesh, etc. See who are backward. Their religion will not be even known!.. What language they speak can't be understood, may not even have proper house...... This is 63rd year of Independence... Our Government and Politics/Politicians are only busy with religion, rather I would say dividing in the name of religion..... Effort should be made to look into such area than looking into religion.
Stop playing with religious sentiments.... Stop Dividing Indians.... Let's be Indians in true sense...

the word RESERVATION is frequently used in a double standard manner by the govt. authorities...& we the common people are facing the problems to cope up..... !
